The Sluggo! Halloween Ball - the first of three benefit concerts to raise funds for Nick's medical expenses - will open the extended holiday weekend in Austin with a resounding scream. Among those performing that night will be Lucid Dementia, Sally Norvell & Paul Wallfisch, and SA Creeper (featuring Ty Gavin ).
Lucid Dementia, winners of the Best Goth Industrial Band in The 2006 Austin Music Awards, will entertain ballgoers with their mesmerizing synthesis of punk, goth, industrial and dance music and their compelling stage show featuring puppets and outrageous costumery and accessories. Sally Norvell will be making her first Austin appearance since performing with Congo/Norvell at South By Southwest in 1995.

For this triumphal return, Sally will be performing with her longtime keyboard virtuoso, Paul Wallfisch, in a dazzling cabaret act drawing from her acclaimed Choking Victim album. Ty Gavin, known to aficionados of the Austin scene as the lead singer of The Next - a truly legendary Austin punk band - fronts his no-nonsense, bad ass San Antonio rock and roll juggernaut - The SA Creeper.
Hipnautica an emotionally riveting group based on the original music of one of Austin’s original solo electronic musicians now backed by a clan of creatives presents a unique sound they define as Dark World Electronik.
The Sluggo! Ball will be a Halloween costume party with prizes to be awarded to contestants in three categories: Most Outlandish, Most Demented and Most Anachronistic. The prizes for the costume contest will be actual editions of Sluggo! authenticated by Nick West himself.
